Last Tuesday boys from each class suited up in tights and cutoffs to compete in the annual He-man volleyball games during homecoming week.
The seniors were heavily favored coming into the games having defeated the class of 2017 last year.
It was juniors versus freshman first playing one set to 20. The freshman were no match for the more experienced juniors although they did come back later in the set, but it was too late and the juniors took
The sophomores played the seniors next. The got off to a rough start, hitting serves into the net and lacking communication. It was a battle back-and-forth but the sophomores took the game, upsetting the
favored seniors. There seemed to be controversy throughout the game as head referee, Mr. Austin Mayo, seemed to not want to call anything. He may want to stick to teaching math.
It was the sophomores and juniors in the championship. The juniors were dominant throughout the set and the sophomores were taken out quickly.
All that was left between the juniors and a championship were the teachers.
The teachers sloppy serving and passing meant another dominating set for the juniors to take home the championship.
