Technology seems to have invaded every aspect of everyday life, you can order almost anything from text books to pizza. Books no longer have to be printed and you can talk to people face to face without being in the same country, but is the fact that our lives have been consumed by electronics and technology a problem?
Although technology can be a monumental distraction from everyday life, it is a greater tool than hindrance. Technology is used in hospitals to monitor heart rates and assist in surgeries, technology also allows easier access and sharing of information. The internet is a tool that can be used for connecting businesses, sharing information, creating easier access to goods, or even just connecting people in general. Like any useful tool, however, there is always the group of people who will manipulate it to be used as something harmful.
People may argue that technology is a distraction: it consumes too much time, it is counter productive, or it is even making people lazier, but it is all how you use what you are given. Eventually technology may be able to reduce waste, overproduction, dependence on oil, or even low education standards. It has infinite capabilities it just need the innovative mind that can manipulate it for the greater purpose of help rather than harm. Anyone who argues that things were better when they were simpler need to accept that the world is going to use more and more technology for support despite protests.
