It has been said over and over again that texting in school has negative effects on the students’ ability to learn properly. In my opinion, this statement is not false in any way, shape, or form.
Texting in school has negative effects on the student’s learning ability due to the fact that students are more affected by their social lives than the one thing that will decide whether they are successful individuals or if they end up homeless. Since I received my first cell phone, my opinion on phones and texting has changed dramatically.
I choose to text and socialize instead of completing my homework. This has changed me as a person and as a student. I do agree with the texting in school dilemma but, I still text in school. I have mastered the texting behind my back skill and the texting in my pocket skill. This is not something teachers would consider being helpful, I believe it takes some serious talent to be able to complete these tasks.
Those are the reasons I believe the texting rules are pointless, I mean who obeys them? Even though the teachers mean well for our education, it just doesn’t make a difference to us as students.
