The week of March 12-16, Lowry Drama students put all their effort onto the stage to perform their last play of the year, "Sleeping Beauty". All elementary schools had the opportunity to come to Lowry to watch their performance. The whole drama class worked hard to perform several times a day.
According to Director and Drama teacher Corrine James, the play went very well and she is proud of all of her students’ performance.
“There were lots of glitter which was fun for the kids. They screamed, laughed, were scared of the Morgana's,” said James. “The children loved it.”
Sophomore Ariana Galindo who played a fairy, agrees that the play went well.
“We were all kind of nervous about it and a little unprepared, but when the days came to perform, we definitely pulled it together and did a good job,” said Galindo. “I think the whole class did amazing, including Stagecraft. I’m glad to be part of the Drama family.”
Seniors from Drama will be performing one last time later in the year.
